3 YEAR OLD GENIUS

Masey has been doing things this past week that blow my mind. Last week she wrote her name on a window and said, "Now people can read my name from outside." Even though the "S" is not backwards, the whole concept was impressive. Masey enjoys doing workbooks where she practices her letters, basic concepts, etc. The other day I bought her one that was more practice for letters and words. One sheet had pictures on it and she had to write down the first letter of each word. (ex. a picture of a ball and Masey had to write a "B" next to the picture) Well, she got 13 out of 18 correct! I was VERY surprised and proud. Masey also likes to identify letters on signs as we are driving around. "S-T-O-P"

Masey also has times when she makes those comments and observations that are cute and silly. Today she took a bite of a sesame seed bagel and said, "You can't grow a bagel. Can you?" I said, "no, why?" Her answer, "This bagel is full of seeds!" I laughed and helped to explain the reason for the seeds on the bagel. We have a local bagel shop where Masey watches and sometimes helps to make bagels. When I reminded her of that, she said, "that was why I was so confused."
